Tell the Senate: Don’t censor the Internet!

In the next few weeks or maybe even sooner, the Senate may vote to approve the PROTECT IP bill.  PROTECT IP, like SOPA its even more draconian House counterpart, would create a variety of ways for corporations and the US government to censor the Internet as demonstrated in this video by Fight for the Future.

We know a majority of Americans oppose the measures that PROTECT IP would impose to prop up the failed business models of the large media corporations.  We can stop this bill!

Please contact both of your Senators either at the numbers listed below or via their web forms and urge them to oppose PROTECT IP:

Scott Brown
(202) 224-4543

John Kerry

Oregon Senator Wyden will also stage a fillibuster of the bill in part by reading the names of opponents of censoring the Internet.  Please visit stopcensorship.org to add your name.

Please do both actions today.

Please note that we moved Monday’s IRC meeting to Thursday at 9:30pm.
