If you live in Boston, check out details about today’s Boston City Council meeting to approve $3.4 million in federal funding for the Boston Regional Intelligence Center, why the city council should oppose this funding and how to contact your city councilors. If you don’t live in Boston, call anyway.
Our Fall conference, on October 14th, will be at the Community Room of the Somerville Public Library West Branch at 40 College Ave., Somerville. It will start by 10:30am and end around 12:30pm. The library is wheelchair accessible. Participants can also join the meeting at https://communitybridge.com/bbb-room/mass-pirates-bbb-room/. If you would like to help, contact us at info@masspirates.org.
The library is a short walk from the Davis Square MBTA stop, which is on the Red line. The 87, 88, 89, 90, 94 and 96 bus lines all stop there. The 80 bus stops nearby at Powder House Park, north of the library. The 77 and 83 buses stop south of Davis Square and are a 10 minute walk to the library. Commuter rail access via the Fitchburg/Gardiner line is available from Porter Square, which is one stop on the Red line from Davis Square. Meter parking is available, but in short supply.
Since the conference is inside, we encourage participants to be vaccinated and wear a mask, but neither is required for entry to the building.
Thanks to our friends at Agaric for hosting Community Bridge.
