{"id":227,"date":"2011-02-16T06:49:08","date_gmt":"2011-02-16T11:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.masspirates.org\/blog\/?p=227"},"modified":"2011-02-17T07:24:40","modified_gmt":"2011-02-17T12:24:40","slug":"senate-approves-usa-patriot-act-90-day-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/masspirates.org\/blog\/2011\/02\/16\/senate-approves-usa-patriot-act-90-day-extension\/","title":{"rendered":"Senate approves USA PATRIOT Act 90 day extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The US Senate <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/floor-action\/senate\/144309-senate-to-take-up-three-month-patriot-act-extension\" target=\"_blank\">approved a 90 day extension<\/a> to the expiring provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The  government\u2019s power under USA PATRIOT Act Section 215 to obtain  secret   court orders for Internet, phone and business records of people  who  are  not suspected of terrorism or spying;<\/li>\n<li>The government\u2019s  &#8220;lone wolf wiretapping&#8221;
