We had a boat load of volunteers and got some great press coverage. Even the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/ideas\/2014\/10\/31\/text-aye-matey-the-pirate-party-push-for-direct-democracy\/X8dl2dKD73HiXGTXd1yuDP\/story.html\">Boston Globe<\/a> covered us. <a href=\"http:\/\/hosted.ap.org\/dynamic\/files\/elections\/2014\/general\/by_state\/state_sen_house\/MA.html?SITE=WCVBTVELN&amp;SECTION=POLITICS\">According to the AP<\/a>, Noelani received 1,452 votes (12%) and Joe received at least 549 votes (4%). In\u00a0Wisconsin,\u00a0Joseph Klein, a long-time political organizer who ran for state assembly as a Pirate, received 18% of the vote in his two way race.<\/p>\n<p>We know next year will be even better. We are in the process of planning the 2015 PirateCon, as well as 2015 city\/town elections and the 2016 state\/town elections. 2015 will have more local chapters, cryptoparties and events.<\/p>\n<p>We need your help to make 2015 even more of a success than 2014. Please make a <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.piryx.com\/donate\/ZeBuHGQi\/Massachusetts-Pirate-Party\/\">donation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/masspirates.org\/blog\/join-us\/volunteer\/\">sign up to volunteer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We will be discussing our ideas for the future when we meet with a Pirate visiting from Japan on Sunday, 6pm at the Asgard restaurant at 350 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge.
