Tell them no!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, the Senate started debating CISA, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act. The Senate reconvenes at 9:30am and it will likely vote on it today. Now is the time to\u00a0call Senator Warren at <a href=\"tel:202-224-4543\" value=\"+12022244543\" target=\"_blank\">202-224-4543<\/a>, and Senator Markey at <a href=\"tel:202-224-2742\" value=\"+12022242742\" target=\"_blank\">202-224-2742<\/a>\u00a0and tell them to vote NO! \u00a0If you don&#8217;t live in Massachusetts, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.decidethefuture.org\/\">Decide the Future to contact your senator<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CISA is a surveillance bill that would immunize corporations from liability if they share your personal data with the government.\u00a0\u00a0Specifically it allows companies to automatically and simultaneously transfer your data to the DHS, NSA, FBI,\u00a0and local police with all of your personally-indentifying information.<\/p>\n<p>You would not be able to sue them to stop your data from being shared and you won&#8217;t even be able to use the Freedom of Information Act to find out what they shared and with whom. \u00a0Putting that data in once place will be a great target for malicious hackers and will be an OPM breach in the making.<\/p>\n<p>To top it off, CISA would expand the CFAA to\u00a0allow the government to <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/security\/2015\/10\/the-rise-of-the-zero-day-market\/\">prosecute security researchers for finding security vulnerabilities in computers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, call\u00a0Senators Warren at <a href=\"tel:202-224-4543\" value=\"+12022244543\" target=\"_blank\">202-224-4543<\/a>, and Senators Markey at <a href=\"tel:202-224-2742\" value=\"+12022242742\" target=\"_blank\">202-224-2742<\/a> and tell them to vote NO on CISA now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, the Senate started debating CISA, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act.
