Leaders in Congress are trying\u00a0to pass an expanded CISA,\u00a0the Cyber Information Sharing Act,<\/span>\u00a0in the “must pass” omnibus spending bill. \u00a0The House vote is likely tomorrow.<\/p>\n

These changes will broaden it to include non-cybersecurity crimes<\/a>,\u00a0pull what little privacy protections it had<\/a>,\u00a0encourag ISPs like Comcast to log everything you send so the government can scoop it up<\/a>\u00a0and allow the NSA to collect it all.<\/p>\n

The terrorists who attacked Paris and San Bernardino\u00a0weren’t identified by meta data analysis<\/a> and didn’t use encryption<\/a>. \u00a0This bill will expand the government’s mass surveillance when mass surveillance has not stopped a single attack.<\/strong>\u00a0This is one wasteful program we want to see eliminated.<\/p>\n
