It features two speakers: Kendra Moyer and Wendy Joy Welsh.<\/p>\n<p>Kendra joins us via video link from Detroit, MI, to present the American Library Association&#8217;s CRAAP method for evaluating sources. CRAAP stands for Currency (the timeliness of information), Relevance (how information relates to a given topic or question), Authority (who is the source, and what are their credentials), Accuracy (reliability, truthfulness, and correctness), and Purpose (what is the source&#8217;s goal).<\/p>\n<p>Wendy talks about the danger of false slogans, namely &#8220;Money is not Speech&#8221;.  She argues that regulating political speech could have the effect of giving corporate media a monopoly in this area, while silencing other groups.  The problem is corruption, rather than paid speech.
