Without rigorous workplace protections, the privately owned companies managing hospitals seek to maximize profit by overworking and understaffing their facilities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en\">That, simply, is unacceptable. The proof shows that safe patient limits save lives, therefore we have an obligation to make sure the workplace recognizes that.
