Mesh Tech Meetup Tonight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The weekly Mass. Mesh weekly tech meetup\u00a0is tonight, 7-9pm. It is on-line at <a href=\"https:\/\/jitsi.massmesh.net\/massmesh\">https:\/\/jitsi.massmesh.net\/massmesh<\/a>, as you would expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mass. Mesh is a commons-oriented technology project building wireless community-owned networks to empower our neighbors and embody values of equity, privacy, net neutrality, and local autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They use these weekly meetings to hammer out new features and address bugs in our software. If you&#8217;re interested in hacking on distributed routing protocols, digging into the router OS, automating a very unique build pipeline, or really anything else of that nature, this is the meetup for you. If you&#8217;re just hoping to get an overview of our project before deciding to dive in, their monthly &#8220;What is Mesh?&#8221; meetup will probably be more appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are actively working to convene non-technical working groups for community-owned Internet. Please reach out if you are interested in volunteering in a non-technical way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find them at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/massmesh.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/massmesh.org\/<\/a>\u00a0including instructions for how to setup a mesh router. They have multiple off-the-shelf types you can <a href=\"https:\/\/massmesh.org\/wiki\/index.php?title=Category:Devices\">purchase and setup<\/a> at their <a href=\"https:\/\/massmesh.org\/wiki\/index.php?title=Node_Setup\">wiki<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>While you are here, we need you to contact Governor Baker and tell him to sign the <a href=\"https:\/\/masspirates.org\/blog\/2020\/12\/07\/pirate-news-tell-gov-baker-sign-the-police-reform-bill\/\">police reform bill<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/malegislature.gov\/Bills\/191\/S2963\">S.2963<\/a>).
