Tell Senators Warren & Markey to Oppose CISA

Yet again, Congress is trying to ram through a new network security bill that is long on surveillance and light on privacy protection.

Like the CISPA bill of years past, CISA, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (S.754), would allow companies to disclose data to the government without warrant.  Data that would be automatically shared with the NSA.  Data shared without stripping out information that would identify a specifc person.

The bill would allow law enforcement to use this information for investigations and prosecutions as an end run around our 4th Amendment guarantee against unreasonable searches and seizures.

The Select Committee on Intelligence approved CISA without recording who voted how.  It likely will go before the full Senate when they come back from recess on April 13th.  Now is the time to tell our Senators, Elizabeth Warren & Ed Markey, that they must oppose CISA.

We are asking you and all of the residents of Massachusetts to sign our petition against CISA.  We will present it to Senators Warren & Markey when they return from recess.
