2. Hope 9

  • Lots of people were very interested in Pirate Parties and took flyers and hopefully maybe more states will form.
  • SplendidSpoon got lots of attention with her costume and it was very worth going
  • We helped raise ~$7000 for Bradley Manning & David House released his grand jury transcript
  • SplendidSpoon met a Berlin Pirate
  • Need to continue to work with other groups on privacy/surveillance and other issues.

[12:38] <+mildbeard> A party of one can be an observer state but not a full PNC member state on an equal footing with Massachusetts or California. The probationary clause gives them an intermediate stage if they are a full PNC member but they've fallen apart. [12:39] <+mildbeard> The language in that section was voted on by the PNC but we're definitely open to any critique or specific changes you'd like to advocate. [12:40] <+mildbeard> So a party of one like Michigan has a half vote on the PNC whereas Massachusetts has a full vote. [12:40] <+mildbeard> BTW, Wisconsin was approved as a full member state by the PNC last night. They are just getting started and they are rising fast.
