Expanding the Privacy/surveillance plank -

Bylaw Amendment

What supporter information we provide to our endorsed candidates does not follow our policy to not share personal contact information with non-Pirate Party groups. The bylaw amendment below resolves that issue.

In Article 8.0 - Candidate Selection change:

Candidates who are nominated or endorsed shall be considered supported candidates. Supported candidates are entitled to the contact information of any Party members or supporters in their area and any other resources the Pirate Council determines the Party can provide.

Candidates who are nominated or endorsed by the party shall be considered supported candidates. Nominated candidates are entitled to access to the contact information of any Party members or supporters in their area. Endorsed candidates are entitled to have the party contact party members and supporters in their area at least once a month until the election is over to notify them that the party endorsed said candidate and how they can contact and assist the campaign. Supported candidates are entitled any other resources the Pirate Council determines the Party can provide.

[9:02pm] Joe: While it's just us, are you planning to run uspp?
[9:02pm] jokeefe_test joined the chat room.
[9:03pm] jokeefe: guess everyone else is on another server
[9:03pm] Joe: I mean, you pretty much already are from my viewpoint except in name....
[9:03pm] Joe: Not to be so harsh but I stand by it. lol
[9:03pm] jokeefe:
[9:04pm] jokeefe_test left the chat room. (Client Quit)
[9:04pm] Joe: Is France back up?
[9:05pm] jokeefe: don’t know.

[9:06pm] jokeefe: yes
[9:06pm] jokeefe: tried and
[9:07pm] jokeefe: this is the only one that works
[9:07pm] jokeefe: passably
[9:07pm] jokeefe: no one on uspp besides us
[9:08pm] Joe: Maybe it is time to set up a US server then. I may have a spot for it though I will be useless in the build.
[9:09pm] Joe: So Microsoft started patching a massive China loophole eh?
[9:09pm] jokeefe: only 5 on opers and none look familiar.
[9:09pm] jokeefe: M$FT also looking to buy Discord
[9:09pm] Joe: hmm, wonder what happened.

[9:12pm] jokeefe: how are you?
[9:13pm] Joe: The video newsletter didn't happen, 2 minutes before we were to go live I deleted. Malt showed up right at time but was previously engaged so was happy to get back to his guests.
[9:14pm] Joe: Currently building a new office and getting ready for the next season. Hope to get through the department of utilities in order to get a moving tarriff passed and get on with everything

[9:14pm] jokeefe: no worry. it happens. we’ll do it this Sunday. same bat time?
[9:15pm] Joe: Babys are alive and sneezy though, so no complaints. Sounds good.
[9:15pm] Joe: How are you? Family too?
[9:15pm] jokeefe: we are all well.
[9:16pm] Joe: I plan to use the latest plank we worked on, healthcare with homelessness as a health issue.
[9:17pm] jokeefe: for national?
[9:17pm] Joe: Thank you for always keeping up the support with the national stuff.
[9:17pm] Joe: Yeah
[9:18pm] Joe: I am glad everyone is well.
[9:20pm] Joe: I don't have much to add atm, so motion to adjourn?
[9:20pm] jokeefe: I would like a higher turn out for the decisions we have.
