[9:07pm] jokeefe: ids
[9:07pm] Joe: Joseph Onoroski, Lowell
[9:07pm] jokeefe: Anything to add?
[9:07pm] Joe: yes
[9:08pm] jokeefe: James O’Keefe, Somerville
[9:08pm] Malt left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 258 seconds)
[9:08pm] Joe: I would like to discuss our policy on energy
[9:08pm] Malt joined the chat room.
[9:08pm] Malt: Sam capradae Worcester
[9:09pm] jokeefe: ok, Joe
[9:09pm] jokeefe: Decisions/Endorsements
[9:10pm] jokeefe: Party Conference
[9:10pm] jokeefe: What are the times for the conference?
[9:10pm] jokeefe: 10am-6pm Sat/Sun seems too long
[9:11pm] jokeefe: noon-6pm?
[9:11pm] Joe: 10 to 430 with a 30 break for lunch?
[9:12pm] Malt: 6 hours?
[9:14pm] Joe: too long both days?
[9:14pm] Malt: How much programming do we have?
[9:14pm] jokeefe: that is the question, Joe
[9:15pm] Joe: we have quite a bit to discuss on direct, candidates and overall direction of the party.
[9:15pm] Joe: direct = platform
[9:16pm] jokeefe: So far, srevilak and I came up with these topics:
[9:16pm] jokeefe: open/close
[9:16pm] jokeefe: Housing policy (srevilak)
[9:16pm] jokeefe: MassMesh node setup (jokeefe)
[9:16pm] jokeefe: What have we learned from public engagement during the pandemic and how can we continue the best parts after the pandemic (open discussion)
[9:16pm] jokeefe: various platform topic discussions
[9:16pm] jokeefe: running for office
[9:16pm] Malt left the chat room. (Quit: https://webchat.pirateirc.net/)
[9:16pm] Joe: we came up with a lot of topics but not hashed out policies on them
[9:17pm] jokeefe: we need to hash them out.
[9:17pm] Joe: energy policy is a good one to add to the list.
[9:18pm] jokeefe: agreed
[9:18pm] Joe: also, when that is done we should focus some time on individual pages for the leaders of the party.
[9:18pm] Malt joined the chat room.
[9:20pm] Malt: Y'all, I gotta duck early. I haven't been able to generate a lot of enthusiasm for Saturday. I've lost the crew url also. Battling HD failure Tonight
[9:20pm] Malt: Sorry, see y'all there
[9:20pm] jokeefe: Will send you the link
[9:20pm] jokeefe: take care
[9:21pm] Malt left the chat room. (Client Quit)
[9:23pm] Joe: https://youtu.be/-Ss_wHCS1Aw
[9:23pm] jokeefe: Renewables are good
[9:24pm] Joe: we should go geothermal, like Iceland. the US is one of the largest grow markets for this but we have a long way to go.
[9:24pm] jokeefe: I have a friend in NH who uses it for heating and cooling.
[9:25pm] jokeefe: Why do you think 10 to 4:30pm for the times of the conference?
[9:26pm] Joe: I think it's the best for people's attention.
[9:27pm] Joe: maybe even 10-2 but honestly I doubt we will cover enough if we shorten it much.
[9:27pm] jokeefe: My only concern is that 10am is too early.
[9:28pm] jokeefe: What about 11-5, with a recorded session during lunch time?
[9:28pm] Joe: maybe day 1 its 12-630 & day 2 is 10-430
[9:28pm] Joe: I would like to record the entire event tbh
[9:29pm] jokeefe: Ideally, but some sessions could be prerecorded and not live.
[9:31pm] jokeefe: having a prerecorded session during lunch means people can watch it at anytime
[9:32pm] jokeefe: perhaps we should line things up and come up with the schedule to fit it.
[9:33pm] Joe: If you want but seems like it would be extra. after discussing policy and the like I am sure we will need a break.
[9:33pm] Joe: send to lists?
[9:34pm] jokeefe: using a tool like Big Blue Button, we could have multiple platform discussions that occur at the same time.
[9:36pm] Joe: I figured we could do them one at a time. The big ones first obviously. Old business before new business and what not.
[9:36pm] jokeefe: hour long sessions?
[9:37pm] Joe: 55 min with 5 cross overs?
[9:37pm] jokeefe: sure
[9:37pm] Joe: just cause we
[9:38pm] Joe:  have me whom likes to talk
[9:39pm] jokeefe: I know I do
[9:39pm] jokeefe: 55 & 5 sounds good
[9:40pm] jokeefe: discuss hours over email
[9:40pm] Joe: awesome.
[9:40pm] jokeefe: In the tech meeting, we came up with:
[9:40pm] jokeefe: platform discussions over Big Blue Button
[9:40pm] jokeefe: group discussions over Big Blue Button
[9:40pm] jokeefe: panels/single speakers over jitsi/YouTube
[9:42pm] Joe: I would prefer to keep it as one big group with you as its leader.
[9:43pm] jokeefe: need to figure out how many platform groupings we need
[9:44pm] Joe: We have more platforms than I suspect we will be able to attend to.
[9:44pm] jokeefe: I think a draft text divided up into manageable chunks can get reviewed and approved
[9:45pm] Joe: Sound good.
[9:45pm] jokeefe: my concern is we won’t lock it down if each group has to chew on too much
[9:46pm] jokeefe: Policy on Energy - do you want to add that to the platform, or discuss what should be in it?
[9:47pm] Joe: May as well add it to the pile but I am all for thermal/green only. not for nuke or coal, etc.
[9:48pm] jokeefe: aye that
[9:48pm] jokeefe: Projects
[9:49pm] jokeefe: Video Newsletter/Podcast
[9:49pm] jokeefe: record 7, live 7:30pm?
[9:49pm] Joe: this Sunday we should be good.
[9:49pm] jokeefe: great
[9:50pm] jokeefe: Democracy and Dogfood (Tech) - Work continues on streaming options. Set goal of have options set up by next meeting on 10/24
[9:50pm] Joe: we should engage our audience
[9:50pm] jokeefe: how do you suggest we do that?
[9:51pm] Joe: there should be a chat window where you set the stream to live.
[9:52pm] Joe: its been a bit since I was in there so it is probably totally different.
[9:52pm] jokeefe: so chat window in the video?
[9:53pm] Joe: in the Youtube portal, ya.
[9:54pm] jokeefe: what do you need?
[9:55pm] Joe: Nothing much, I can walk you through it next recording.
[9:55pm] Joe: thats all I have.
[9:56pm] jokeefe: thanks
[9:57pm] jokeefe: I am updating the conference page. Will have it up by Thursday.
[9:57pm] Joe: I should be able to dive in to Zazzle tomorrow.
[9:58pm] jokeefe: great
[9:58pm] jokeefe: shall we adjourn?
[9:58pm] Joe: aye
[9:58pm] jokeefe: aye
[9:58pm] Joe: gn sir
[9:58pm] jokeefe: have a great night
[9:59pm] Joe left the chat room. (Quit: -a- IRC for Android 2.1.59)
