21:26 <~jokeefe> Agenda:
        https://masspirates.org/wiki/April_18th,_2024_Meeting
21:26 <~jokeefe> ids
21:26 <~jokeefe> James O’Keefe, Somerville
21:26 < srevilak> Steve Revilak, Arlington
21:26 < Eli> Elijah McGee, Leominster
21:27 <~jokeefe> Joe notified me he would be unable to attend tonight,
but can attend Pirate News on Sunday.
21:27 < srevilak> I am the opposite
21:27 < srevilak> (won't be able to make in on Sunday)
21:28 <~jokeefe> Thanks for the update.
21:28 <~jokeefe> Reports?
21:28 <~jokeefe> I got the two previous Pirate News videos up and the
        video for the last meeting.
21:28 < srevilak> thx
21:29 < srevilak> Arlington town meeting starts Wednesday
21:29 <~jokeefe> Busy time
21:29 < srevilak> yup
21:30 < srevilak> Other than that, nothing to report
21:30 < Eli> Nothing to report here either
21:30 <~jokeefe> Thanks. FWIW, I reorganized the Pirate News into Pirate
News 20XX yearly playlists. Most of them were in one massive playlist.
21:31 < srevilak> Makes sense
21:31 <~jokeefe> Any updates on United States Pirate Party Issues?
21:31 < Eli> The theme of the conference was decided, other than that
        nothing major
21:32 < srevilak> What's the theme?
21:32 <~jokeefe> What is the theme?
21:33 < Eli> Forget the exact wording but something along the lines of
"Steal this conference!" Ill double check right now
21:33 <~jokeefe> Cool
21:33 < srevilak> Home recording is destroying the music industry.
We've left one side of this tape blank so you can help, lol
21:34 <~jokeefe> lol
21:36 <~jokeefe>

21:36 <~jokeefe> Joe mentioned that elections office (not sure which one)
notified him that he has 157 certified signatures. Planning to go out
Sunday and get some more to make sure he has a cushion.
21:36 < srevilak> Nice
21:39 <~jokeefe> Trans Resistance March is the same day at Boxborough
Fifers Day, unfortunately. It will be a picnic and standout.
21:40 <~jokeefe> Working on the Boxborough Fifers Day sign up form and
        the next email update.
21:40 < srevilak> thx
21:41 <~jokeefe> unfortunately, I don’t have any more updates. any
        suggested topics for Pirate News?
21:41 <~jokeefe> Arlington Town Meeting is one or two weeks?
21:42 < srevilak> Runs until it ends
21:42 < srevilak> I'm guessing six nights this year, two per week
21:42 <~jokeefe> good luck
21:42 < srevilak> Arlington is a city that can't bring itself to admit
        it, lol
21:43 < srevilak> (most towns have open town meetings, the vast majority
of which are over in one night)
21:43 < srevilak> We have a city-sized population, a city-sized budget,
and a city-sized degree of legislative complexity
21:44 <~jokeefe> City governments have much less participation. Same
        7-13 people for two years.
21:44 < srevilak> But city council can meet all year around. Towns have
        an annual crunch
21:45 <~jokeefe> Germany has smaller cities that have 50-100 city
        councilors, IIRC.
21:45 < srevilak> That wouldn't be bad
21:45 < srevilak> Anything else for this evening?
21:46 <~jokeefe> Yeah, being able to spread it out would be helpful.
21:46 <~jokeefe> I don’t have anything.
21:46 <~jokeefe> Motion to adjourn?
21:46 < srevilak> Second
21:46 < Eli> Third
21:46 < srevilak> will post transcript
21:46 <~jokeefe> All in favor then
21:47 <~jokeefe> Thanks, Steve. Hope to talk with you on Sunday, Eli.
