[9:04pm] srevilak: aye
[9:04pm] jokeefe: Anything to add
[9:05pm] onesevensevensi: nah i ain't got nothin
[9:05pm] onesevensevensi: did you recently update the platofrm page on the US PP page?
[9:05pm] onesevensevensi: i was told you wrote it up. looks awesome
[9:05pm] onesevensevensi: https://blog.pirate-party.us/platform/
[9:05pm] papegaai: Title: Platform | United States Pirate Party (at blog.pirate-party.us)
[9:06pm] jokeefe: found an old page, activated it.
[9:06pm] jokeefe: Anything to review?
[9:07pm] onesevensevensi: nah i ain't got nothin
[9:08pm] Moses: same
[9:08pm] srevilak: I have small item to review
[9:08pm] srevilak: Have been working on video streaming for piratecon.
[9:09pm] jokeefe: thanks
[9:09pm] jokeefe: noticed that the European Pirate Streaming Team used Youtube
[9:09pm] srevilak: Was able to devise a setup for streaming video + audio over a wireless hotspot. Got a configuration that gives a good stable picture, but audio/video sync was terrible
[9:10pm] srevilak: Have arrangements to try again with a camcorder + HDMI capture box. Feeding audio into the camera's aux in should avoid the timing sync issues
[9:10pm] srevilak: and I was able to find a HDMI capture box that claims support for linux's v4l2
[9:10pm] jokeefe: ok, have camcorder we could use
[9:11pm] jokeefe: cool
[9:11pm] srevilak: should be able to try it in a few days
[9:11pm] srevilak: Not sure If we'll be able to record + stream video. At the very least, we can record audio
[9:12pm] srevilak: will update after next batch of experiments
[9:12pm] jokeefe: thanks
[9:12pm] srevilak: Although the sync was terrible, it would be funny to live stream from a surveillance camera
[9:12pm] srevilak: (end of update)
[9:12pm] jokeefe: thank you
[9:13pm] jokeefe: Decisions/Endorsements

[9:13pm] papegaai: Title: March for ScienceSatellite Marches — March for Science (at www.marchforscience.com)
[9:13pm] onesevensevensi: i don't understand these knee jerk protests
[9:14pm] jokeefe: a month away is knee jerk?
[9:14pm] onesevensevensi: there's a fucking war going on. this is all misdirection, keeping people busy
[9:14pm] onesevensevensi: pardon my french, but i'm pissed off
[9:14pm] onesevensevensi: at the war
[9:14pm] onesevensevensi: and lack of resistance
[9:14pm] jokeefe: agreed
[9:15pm] jokeefe: but different people are motivated by different things
[9:15pm] onesevensevensi: ya, well bombs kill anyone they hit
[9:15pm] jokeefe: BTW: are there any anti-war protests?
[9:16pm] onesevensevensi: nah everyone's too busy marching for science or donning pussy hats or protesting every knee jerk every week
[9:16pm] onesevensevensi: there's so much noise you couldn't even do a war protest, nobody will care. it's all a sea of noise
[9:16pm] onesevensevensi: cacophony
[9:17pm] jokeefe: not seeing that many protests personally
[9:17pm] jokeefe: Could help at veterans for peace protest
[9:18pm] jokeefe: been to a few of those
[9:18pm] onesevensevensi: you mean the park st vigils?
[9:18pm] jokeefe: aye
[9:18pm] onesevensevensi: those folks are like legends in my book, but it's not effective
[9:19pm] onesevensevensi: i don't know what the answer is. i just know the masses are being manipulated and we're about to go to war bigly
[9:19pm] jokeefe: Certainly fucking seems that way
[9:20pm] onesevensevensi: bombing is up 400% via drones in the past 2 months
[9:21pm] jokeefe: If we want to do an anti-war protest, I am game, but right now we have been asked to support the March for Science.
[9:21pm] onesevensevensi: we've got thousands of troops in Syria now
[9:21pm] onesevensevensi: ya the dems want to call everyone to their heel
[9:21pm] onesevensevensi: that's all high organized big money right there
[9:21pm] onesevensevensi: i was just reading their partners.
[9:21pm] onesevensevensi: i have no objection, per se, whatever but that's what it is. a farce
[9:22pm] onesevensevensi: i yield back the foor. lol
[9:22pm] onesevensevensi:
[9:22pm] onesevensevensi: floor*
[9:22pm] jokeefe: maybe, but is an opportunity to tell people about us
[9:23pm] onesevensevensi: that's true
[9:23pm] jokeefe: Moses, srevilak, opinions?
[9:24pm] Moses: hmm
[9:24pm] Moses: it's tough
[9:24pm] srevilak: Being a fan of science, I'd be inclined to support
[9:25pm] Moses: i dispise pussy hates, but i also hate war
[9:25pm] Moses: so i'd support
[9:26pm] jokeefe: so one no objection, and three support
[9:27pm] jokeefe: sound right?
[9:27pm] onesevensevensi: ehh.... i don't really object object.
[9:27pm] onesevensevensi:
[9:27pm] onesevensevensi: do it up, i'm just saying you be playing with all the Dems
[9:27pm] onesevensevensi:
[9:28pm] onesevensevensi: tell them "Mother Russia sent us"
[9:29pm] jokeefe: lol
[9:30pm] jokeefe: motion passes then
[9:30pm] jokeefe: Projects
[9:31pm] jokeefe: Planks - Haven’t gotten a chance to write up post about it, should be this week
[9:31pm] onesevensevensi: just pirate everything from here ?
[9:31pm] onesevensevensi: https://blog.pirate-party.us/platform/
[9:31pm] papegaai: Title: Platform | United States Pirate Party (at blog.pirate-party.us)
[9:33pm] jokeefe: I think that is a copy of ours: https://masspirates.org/blog/ourissues/
[9:33pm] papegaai: Title: Our Issues | Massachusetts Pirate Party (at masspirates.org)
[9:34pm] jokeefe: But, yes we have to expand on it
[9:34pm] Moses: yeaaah this is super insufficent
[9:35pm] onesevensevensi: whachu mean?
[9:35pm] Moses: it makes us seem like a one issue party
[9:36pm] Moses: speaking of the Massachusetts issues
[9:36pm] onesevensevensi: what issues are we missing that would resonate with "Pirates"?
[9:36pm] jokeefe: We started work on expanding it https://github.com/masspirates/planks
[9:36pm] papegaai: Title: GitHub - masspirates/planks: A place to define the Massachusetts Pirate Party planks (platform) (at github.com)
[9:36pm] srevilak: Agree with jokeefe - the list needs to be expanded
[9:36pm] jokeefe: and yes, we need more Mass. issues
[9:36pm] jokeefe: Anyone want to lead this?
[9:36pm] Moses: i like the github one a lpt
[9:36pm] Moses: a lot*
[9:38pm] onesevensevensi: be careful. dems will want to manipulate us into taking democrat positions to keep any budding party in their wings. we should keep as open as possible and focus on being Pirates, which is to say Pirates formed in response to the attack on the free flow of information and attempt to stifle digital sharing ie DRM and Pirate Bay
[9:38pm] onesevensevensi: some of these issues here are decidedly (fake) left leaning
[9:39pm] Moses: It's irresponsible to have no stance on social issues.
[9:39pm] Moses: we can be better than dems in that respect
[9:40pm] jokeefe: aye to both
[9:40pm] jokeefe: Conference - Updated list of topics
[9:41pm] onesevensevensi: we can't out dem the dems, that's the trap
[9:41pm] jokeefe: we have to be Pirates
[9:42pm] Moses: I'm not saying we should "out dem the dems" the dems are /also/ woefully insuffcient on social issues
[9:43pm] onesevensevensi: i don't understand what you mean. it sounds like you are saying to be more progressive than dems?
[9:43pm] jokeefe: Sunday is the last day to suggest topics
[9:43pm] jokeefe: for PirateCon
[9:44pm] jokeefe: Fundraising - any updates?
[9:44pm] srevilak: No fundraising updates

[9:47pm] jokeefe: I am working on setting up myBB, other updates srevilak?
[9:48pm] srevilak: nothing here
[9:49pm] Moses: I would just like to say that I /really/ belive we should release to postions on social policy from the above github
[9:49pm] Moses: ForMoreDiversity.txt, GenderAndFamilyPolicy.txt
[9:49pm] Moses: as they are currently under high secruitny
