Campaigns Status

Greater Boston Regional Convention

Based on the notes from our 12/19/16 meeting (https://masspirates.org/wiki/December_19th,_2015_Campaign_Planning_Meeting), here is my research into finding a space for the Greater Boston regional convention.

Somerville

• Somerville Public Library seems to be free. They need to approve requests. There is a conference room in the main library that holds 20-40 depending on seating. The sign up form is at: http://www.eventkeeper.com/code/events.cfm?curOrg=SVILLE&curApp=rooms&curMode=ADMIN&curHelp=NONE&curMode=LOGOUT
• Somerville Public School Facility requires three weeks notice and most items require a fee and cost of custodian time (at least four hours worth). Looks like the types of room available are the Cafeteria, Gymnasium and Library and they each have a flat fee of $50. Cambrige

• Cambridge Public Library seems to be free. They need to approve requests and require a week in advance and will accept up to two months in advance. The sign up form is at: http://www.cambridgema.gov/cpl/eventsandprograms/meetingrooms
• Found this form for Cambridge Public Schools http://www.cpsd.us/UserFiles/Servers/Server_3042785/File/Migration/CPS_Facilities_Permit.doc?rev=0
• Also found the Cambridge Community Center outside Central Sq. They rent classrooms for $35/hr. More at http://www.cambridgecc.org/rent-a-space.html
• Democracy Center in Harvard Sq. doesn't seem to have much open on the weekend we wanted http://democracycenter.org/events

Arlington
