Like your privacy? Time to say so

TechDirt is reporting that the Senate will vote on the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 (S.3414) by the end of this week.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid seems to be trying to end debate on the bill and move to a vote.  However, there is a chance that the Senate may vote on the Franken-Paul amendment which would increase privacy protections.

This bill isn’t a slam dunk and all it takes is 41 votes to stop it.

If you value your privacy, then please tell both Senators to oppose S.3414, while also working to add pro-privacy amendments to it.   Please call the numbers listed below as the time for email messages is over.

Senator Scott Brown
(202) 224-4543

Senator John Kerry
(202) 224-2742

The American Library Association has this easy form you can use to connect you to the office of one of your Senators at a time.

Thanks!
