The monthly Somerville cryptoparty will be today, Wednesday, August 31st. It will run from 6-9pm and will be at Parts & Crafts, 577 Somerville Ave, Somerville. If you want to help organize a cryptoparty in your area or just discuss protecting your privacy, sign up for the cryptoparty mailing list.  



We are cancelling tonight's IRC meeting due to the Aaron James campaign event tonight.  It will resume next Tuesday, September 6th.


The Committee to Elect Aaron James will return to the Somerville Armory for an evening of political discussion and a chance to hear directly from voters in the 27th Middlesex district.  It will be from 6 PM to 9:30 PM at the Somerville Armory, 191 Highland Ave, Somerville.  You can sign up to attend at their Facebook event, email them or just show up. The talk covers permits, the administrative court, home rule, public necessity, and thinking outside the box of allowable activism. The Swedish Pirate Party is ten years old this year and they are asking pirates world-wide to send a congratulatory video message. On Sunday, August 7th, we will hold our annual Pirate Picnic on Georges Island in Boston harbor.  It is our Summer social. It is a potluck and there are grills where we will be.
