Fast Track Vote Friday, Call Congressman Moulton

TPP: Why so secret?

UPDATED EVENT INFO BELOW

The House will vote on Fast Track Trade Authority (FTTA) Friday.  The Hill reported that only Congressman Moulton (6th CD district) has not committed to opposing this bill.  Please call him today at (202) 225-8020 and urge him to oppose Fast Track Trade Authority. Telling him to oppose this destructive bill on Facebook or on Twitter at @sethmoulton will also help.

UPDATE: There is a rally to stop Fast Track at Congressman Moulton’s office today at 3:30pm sponsored by the AFL-CIO and the Greater Boston Labor Council.  The address is 17 Peabody Square, Peabody, MA 01960.   Show up and lend them a hand.  Also, an AFL-CIO/GBLC Rally to Stop Fast Track is scheduled for Friday, 5-6pm at Suffolk University, 73 Tremont Street, Boston.

More leaks reveal that the TPP could be used by pharmaceutical companies to challenge the ability of governments to regulate the drug prices they pay leading to higher prices and more profits for big pharma.  We have already talked about TiSA and its ability to prevent governments from using Free Software as well as ISDS and all of the copyright monopoly giveaways.

The European Parliament is starting to turn against TTIP & TiSA.  Without the FTTA, it will be harder to get these corporate welfare bills passed.

Now is the time to tell Congressman Moulton that our rights should not be traded away in secret.  Pick up the phone and call him at (202) 225-8020.  Thanks!
