This week & next: Cryptoparties, campaign events, oh my!

Have a boat load of events coming up this week and next that we want you to attend.  Also Freedom Rally is only next month and we need Pirates to help us table at it.

This Saturday, from 1-5pm, we will be helping with a cryptoparty at the Boston Public Library, Grove Hall Branch, 41 Geneva Avenue, Dorchester.  If you are in the area or one of the surrounding communities, come out and learn more about protecting your privacy on the Internet.

From around noon to 3pm, the Aaron James for State Representative campaign will go door-to-door.  If you can help out, please contact them at or contact them on Facebook.  You can always find his campaign at

The Committee to Elect Aaron James will return to the Somerville Armory for an evening of political discussion and a chance to hear directly from voters in the 27th Middlesex district.  It will be from 6 PM to 9:30 PM at the Somerville Armory, 191 Highland Ave, Somerville.  You can sign up to attend at their Facebook event, email them or just show up.

Table with us at Freedom Rally in September

For the last several years, the Massachusetts Pirate Party has manned a table at Boston’s Freedom Rally.  This is an important event for civil liberties, and for winding down the war on drugs.  It’s also really festive, and a great opportunity for outreach.

Once again it will be on Boston Common and this year it will be on September 17th and 18th. The hours are 10am to 6pm.

We’re looking for a few volunteers to help staff our table.  If you can swing by for a few hours, please “Register Now”, let us know who you are, and when you can help out.

Have a great week!
