Elections Main Topic Organizing PirateCon

Pirate Council Nominations Extended to May 23rd

Thanks to everyone who attended PirateCon, especially the volunteers who made it happen.  We were able to get video streaming working and appreciate everyone who watched the live stream.  We recorded all of the conference panels and will post when we have put them up. It looks like Pirates are starting chapters for Boston, Somerville and possibly Lowell.

However, we did not elect our Pirate Council, three Arbitrators or our two representatives to the US Pirate Party, and decided to reopen nominations until May 23rd with email ballots due a week later on May 30th.  Current office holders will remain until the election is complete.

The Pirate Party needs people who want to build the Pirate Party and ensure that you have privacy and the government does not. The Pirate Council supports local chapters and makes the day to day decisions that move the Pirate Party forward. It is made up of:

  • Captain
  • First Officer
  • Quartermaster
  • PR/Media Director
  • Activism Director
  • Swarmwise Director
  • Web/Info Director

We also have three Arbitrators who mediate disputes between members as well as two representatives to the US Pirate Party.

Please submit your nomination by Tuesday, May 23rd.

Thanks!
