There is a No War in Iran protest today from 2pm to 4pm. It is outside the Massachusetts state house at 24 Beacon Street near the Park Street MBTA station in downtown Boston.  It is initiated by Codepink and the ANSWER Coalition and endorsed by Massachusetts Peace Action. I learned recently from Susan McLucas, a long-time local activist for Chelsea Manning, that president Obama commuted Chelsea's sentence. She will be released from prison on May 17th. I think I speak for most, if not all, Pirates that we are very happy and relieved that Chelsea will be free in four months. Baker and Mayor Walsh are welcoming military manufacturer General Electric to Boston and celebrating the $250+ million in tax breaks and free public services we are giving to GE so they will relocate the headquarters here. On Friday November 13th a group of armed fellows shot up, and attempted to blow up parts of Paris. In the process, they killed approximately 130 people. That's tragic.
